Community Response
Community members gathered over the past few days at the high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.
Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to support public safety in the capital.
Paying Tribute to Beckstrom

She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s former high school, told the Associated Press. “She was caring, caring and always ready to support those in need.”
Funeral details for Sarah are still being arranged.

Wolfe, a native of the city, started his military career in 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the Associated Press.
He continues to receive treatment and is “battling to survive”, the state’s leader Morrisey mentioned on television.
