The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books in total, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
