Los Angeles Explodes in Jubilation as Dodgers Claim Second World Series Championship
The City of Angels experienced citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an translator.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
